The majority of our flowers and vape cartridges use hemp-derived THCa (tetrahydrocannabinolic acid), a compound found in cannabis that is non-psychoactive in its natural form, meaning it doesn’t cause the typical “high” associated with THC (tetrahydrocannabinol). THCa undergoes decarboxylation, converting into THC only when heated, as in the case of lighting a joint or heat from a battery, which activates its psychoactive properties.
Our other products, such as edibles and beverages that aren’t heated during use, often contain hemp-derived Delta-8 THC and/or Delta-9 THC, which are related to THCa. These compounds are psychoactive, but their effects and strengths vary due to differences in molecular structure. Both Delta-8 THC and Delta-9 THC can be found in both marijuana and hemp.

THCA, or tetrahydrocannabinolic acid–specifically Delta-9 THCA, is a naturally occurring cannabinoid in hemp and cannabis (Cannabis sativa) plants. It is the acidic “precursor” to THC and exists primarily in young, freshly harvested cultivars. THCA is non-psychoactive until it converts to THC through non-enzymatic reactions when exposed to heat. Known as decarboxylation, this process activates cannabis’ psychoactive properties.
